Apex is a city-designated industrial area of roughly eighteen thousand acres at the north end of North Las Vegas, and the buildings going up there are among the largest single floor plates in Nevada.
Where Apex is
The Apex Industrial Park lies at the northern end of the City of North Las Vegas, off Interstate 15 near the US 93 junction, roughly twenty miles north of the Las Vegas valley center. It is within the city, not in unincorporated Clark County, and the city's economic development office administers it.
The park is large - around eighteen thousand acres with several thousand developable - and it is built out in phases, so at any given time it holds operating buildings, buildings under construction and raw ground.
Very large slabs, small coated areas
Distribution buildings at Apex may present sealed, coated or bare concrete, sometimes as a single plate running to hundreds of thousands of square feet. The existing surface and its condition should be confirmed before a maintenance method is selected. It takes forklift traffic, pallet-jack wheels, dock-door soil and tire marking, and it is maintained by machine scrubbing on a planned interval.
The coated floors - offices, welfare, training rooms, quality control - are a small fraction of the area and carry most of the appearance expectation. They need refinishing on their own cycle.
Construction, wind and dock doors
Apex sits in open desert and the wind moves a great deal of material across it. With active construction across the park, the dust reaching dock doors and entrances is coarser and heavier than in the built-up valley.
Dock-door transition zones take the concentrated abrasion. Low humidity generally keeps drying short, so the constraint on scheduling is the operation rather than the weather.

Distribution and fulfillment buildings run to shift patterns. Planned shutdowns and weekends give the cleanest windows; aisle-by-aisle phasing works where traffic can be rerouted around the work.
On a very large plate, the practical approach is usually to split the slab into zones worked over several visits rather than attempting the whole floor at once.
