Operating conditions
This is the highest-traffic commercial floor area in the state, and it is trafficked continuously rather than in peaks. Resort circulation, convention load-in and load-out, and food service all run to their own clocks, and between them there is no quiet hour that applies building-wide.
Fine Mojave sand arrives at every entrance and is abrasive under that volume of footfall. Convention space adds a different problem: load-in and load-out move wheeled freight across floors that were designed for pedestrians, and the marking and scuffing from that is concentrated into a few days at a time.

Back-of-house corridors and service areas can often be worked overnight with far less disruption than front-of-house.
